Betty Booths have five top tips to a fabulous photo booth experience. There is so much to think about when planning entertainment for a wedding, Party or Corporate event its daunting, especially when so many suppliers seemingly offer the same products. Unless your supplier has been referred to you or you’ve witnessed their service at another function you never know what you’re going to get. See below our five top tips to choosing and planning your photo booth hire

1) Choose a reputable Supplier

Many photo booth suppliers offer great deals but you don’t always know what you’re getting, see below for tips to make the night a success.

Equipment: What equipment is the booth company using? Do you see pictures of the booths online so you know what to expect on the day. Do the booths offer instant dry prints and a USB of the night’s pictures at the end of the evening?  Does your supplier carry back up equipment?

Insurance: Ensure your booth supplier is licensed and holds adequate insurance and PAT certs, some venues will not let them enter without it.

Reviews: Check out the reviews on the website and even more importantly social media where you can contact reviewers directly. What sort of props are they using were the operators friendly and polite? Check out our reviews from genuine customers click here

Service: Some cheaper booths come with one attendant it’s hard for them to be in two places at one time.  Betty Booths operators come in twos to ensure not only are your guests looked after but your guest book is filled with photos and comments from the guests. Check out our booths

2) Let your guests know about the booth!!

Do make sure all your guests are aware of the Photo booth. Betty Booths operators periodically circulate amongst your guests and encourage them to participate. Letting your guests know we’re there can help especially if the booth is situated in another room to the main floor. We love it when a photo album/ guest’s book is complete.

3) How long should I hire the booth for and what are the optimum hire times

A standard hire time of three hours will be ample for up to 150-200 guests (unless they are all Photobooth crazy). you can always request an additional hour at the event. Please think about the hire time and all your guests attending your reception here are some guidelines below;

  1. Think about the ages of your guests when choosing the hire time. Very young or elderly guests would like to be included in the fun and some of the most precious images have developed from these age groups.
  2. Alcohol. Late hires can be tricky specially after 11pm when Alcohol has taken effect the prints can be less than fabulous and sometimes naughty! We take care to vet the photos before we upload them to our website however your disc will contain all the prints taken during the evening.

4) What message should I have on my prints?

Think about the message you wish to leave with the guests. The hosts name and occasion and date or do you wish to personalise the print to add a little something extra? Check out the gallery on Betty Booths gallery page on our website for some inspiration. Why not design your own photo print we have over 800 designs to choose from click here.

5) Finally…Have lots of fun.

We have experienced attendants on hand to advise on Props and posing and how to get the best from your booth.  An Egyptian head dress or jester and crown become a clown for the evening. Betty Booth cover Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk.
